Smokey’s previous owner got sick and had to give him up. The Roane County, WV animal shelter was full so the owner asked Lab Rescue to find Smokey a home.
Smokey loves giving kisses, getting attention, going for walks and sleeping with me. Smokey gets along great with our other dog Link and all of our cats.
Smokey is the second pet we rescued from West Virginia.
On June 17, 2012 we brought home Fluffy, a cat we found at the Riverbend RV Park. One colony of feral cats at the park and is fed on the deck of our lot. We went down on Sat., June 16th to find the usual feral cats around our lot. One cat in particular was extremely friendly. He came inside the RV and sat on my lap. Our dogs didn’t intimidate him in the least. On Sunday we took him home.
